EU Commission resigns
Cresson: The former French prime minister was first in the firing line
The entire European Commission - the executive body of the European Union - has resigned in the wake of a damning report exposing fraud, corruption and mismanagement at senior levels.
"Everyone is going," Farm Commissioner Franz Fischler said after an emergency meeting in Brussels.

The meeting was called after the Commission was slammed in a report on its handling of fraud and corruption in its ranks.
The report, which was published on Monday, accused the entire EU executive body of losing political control. The European parliament's largest political group, the Socialists, had called on the entire Commission to resign.
