Andrew Marr: Savage attack on British history

What an utter disgrace was Andrew Marr's shameless, savage attack on British history and the Monarchy in part one of The Making of Modern Britain. What a sickening, taxpayer-funded Party Political Broadcast for Labour.

What superb timing, too - aired to coincide with the end of Britain, as the Lisbon Treaty was signed by Klaus and England's proud past (the Old Order, according to Marr), consigned to history.

According to Marr, all that was Labour is sweetness and light, while all that is free market was dastardly and evil. Until Europe came to the rescue, according to Andrew, Scottish Mafia* clansman, Marr..

While extreme bias from Marr is predictable, the ferocity of the attack and the glee with which he delivered it was surprising.

And to think, we're paying for this Orwellian history make-over and Labour advertising campaign with our taxes.

Time for a cull of the BBC?  Please let Marr be the first casualty.

* No offense intended to Scots, generally - just to the Scottish political and media elites who have conspired to wreck England.

Don't watch telly, didn't watch this but it was trailed in the Telegraph as a celebration of all things good and English, warm beer, village greens and old maids cycling. Obviously not.

I managed to get past Marrs American pronunciation of 'arIstocrat' but gave up ( on your link ) when he presented Britains first use of concentration camps as though he had just discovered this when it's been well known ever since. Twat.

Wasn't the timing wonderful? You did well to get that far, Banned - my teeth were on edge for the entire episode.

Can't stand the lefty bollocks, Fausty - he was entirely manufactured for filling with shit and distributing it incessantly with every broadcast he makes - clearly an arsehole!

So there was no poverty in that bright shining zenith of the British Empire? Just what do you have against Marr, apart from his pronunciation of aristocrat?(Mine misses out the "i" and the "tocrat"
History is just that; you can't miss out the bad bits just because it doesn't fit in with the glorious bits we were fed in the "Victor" and "Hotspur".

Spidie, Marr had the glassy-eyed look of Balls on that show. Almost as creepy as your latest video!

Conan, exactly. History should be as impartial as possible - particularly when produced by the BBC. Marr trashed everything that smacked of Tory and lauded everything Labour - with nauseating glee.

Power corrupts, as we've seen with this Labour lot.

You're right about the programme , Faustie . It was , as they say , "pure pish" .

I was too demoralised by the demise of our country to blog about it , but wrote a post on the Telegraph giving 7 major historical errors or instances of bias in the first 5 minutes . I got fed up writing them down after that .

You're right , too , about the Scottish leftists in the media and politics mucking up England . Spare a thought for us , though .

They did it to us first !

I have days like that, YO - we've been b0ll0cking on about this for years and sometimes it doesn't seem worth the effort ... until they do something which hacks us off even more.

Let's hope they spend their monstrous, undeserved pensions in another land (Hades, preferably).
