Call for Civil Disobedience - a worldwide strike by the oppressed

The blogosphere and meeting places have been alight with anger, outrage, frustration. And questions about how to defeat our tyrannical 'masters' that make our lives a living hell.

Gandhi found non-compliance to be an effective tool to defeat his masters. And he was just one man.

Imagine what we could achieve, if we made a concerted effort, for a given number of days.

The fact is, the corporations want our money. The government needs our money. The 'mainstream' media are the mouthpieces of these monsters. And all of them are the cause of our misery.

If we starve them of it for a spell, how would that affect them?

We've lost the ability to think for ourselves because we've been programmed not to. If we cease to tune into their propaganda and instead, explore the alternative media, we see a different picture from the one they want us to see. We think for ourselves and join up the dots.

We have been little short of terrorised by their scare stories, their unwarranted use of and threat of force, their fines, their toxic products, their lies - to do their dirty bidding. They enrich themselves at our expense. Every time.

The Greeks and the Icelanders have woken up and taken action. The tyranny we face is on a par with theirs, if not greater, and yet we do bugger all about it. Our MPs don't give a jot - they're not listening to us. They're listening to their party whips, as they eye that juicy job within their grasp if they ignore us. So they do.

So let's learn from the Greeks, the Icelanders, Gandhi - and make our 'strike' international. After all, the entire civilised world is facing tyranny simultaneously.

And as Old Holborn says, we outnumber them. They cannot afford non-compliance on such a massive scale. Success frequently starts from small beginnings, as American patriots will tell you. As Gandhi demonstrated.

There comes a time when we have to say ENOUGH! NO MORE! Just like that lonesome chap did in Tiananmen Square (around 3:45 minutes into this video):

You have to wonder why our police are becoming militarised - all over the world - why the UN frequently deploys its 'peace-keeping' troops. Yes, troops - against civilians. Foreign troops who care nothing for those civilians - they're "just following orders". A government should never do that to its people. That is tyranny, as the Chinese knew only too well. They were expendable. Mere ants to be crushed underfoot.

Gandhi didn't set out to be a leader; he set out to make a point. He was earnest and determined and he got attention. People chose to follow his lead because he led from the front.

That is what our 'masters' fear. That is why they discourage us from congregating. That is why they attempt to set us against each other.

So we must do the opposite of what they want. Civilly. Lawfully. United.

What am I suggesting, then?

Karen Quinn-Tostado* has a plan - and I hope we can gather enough support around the world to follow her lead and act simultaneously. She has the answer. We send them all her aptly put message (somewhat Anglicised and embellished, here):
We show them that they can't control us for four days. We're going to do what we want, we're going to think what we want and we're going to think about what's really important.

We've forgotten that all we need is clean air, clean water, healthy food, self-sufficient communities - and integrity. We don't need the government for those things.

"We the people", are not responsible for repayment of speculative banking scams. We will not allow our children to be used as collateral for foreign debt.

Our constitution is ignored, our rights are violated, we are taxed without representation. As long as we go about our lives as usual, they win and we pay.

We the people say NO MORE.

Here's what we do from 15th April to 18th April:

1) No work, no school. Our future depends on restoring our rights. Plan ahead, ask for time off, use holiday days or whatever it takes. Get school assignments for your children, who will then be able to learn about our rights. If you feel you must go to work, then go! Participate in the other steps. Do what you can! Learn about our true rights.

It's a money game - they want ours. Time to change the rules.

2) No shopping - don't buy. Buy nothing from large corporations, fast food places, online stores, etc. Again, plan ahead for medications, petrol/diesel and food. If you have to shop, then go to local grocers and small family shops! If everyone keeps his money for 4 consecutive days, global bankers will notice.

3) Don't comply, take your £££s and savings out of large, corporate banks, leaving only what you need to cover monthly bills. Work at getting off the grid and forming co-ops within communities. We need each other and it will be our networking energy, as one, which will ensure success.

4) Ask Why. This is essential. Why are we allowing our constitution to be ignored? Why do our children have to sacrifice for banking scams? Why are we supporting policies that don't support us?

Then call your MPs and let them know you're participating in this strike and ask questions you feel are important. Then they will notice.
Imagine if citizens around the world joined Karen Quinn-Tostado's strike. Every one of us can dream that big when we remember that we've all been scammed and lied to by a criminal, dominant minority, who set us against each other, in war, in setting communities, races and sexes against each other, in neighbourhood spying, in so many ways.

We citizens should not be at war with each other. We should be at war with the corporate plunderers, the despots who believe they lead us, and the craven media who hide the truth from us and brainwash us with their lies. They are the enemy of the people.

We must empower ourselves, not ask for someone to save us.

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.
The people cannot be all, and always, well informed.
The part which is wrong will be discontented,
in proportion to the importance of the facts
they misconceive. If they remain quiet
under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the
forerunner of death to the public liberty. ... And what
country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from
time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance?
Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right
as to the facts, pardon and pacify them.
What signify a few lives lost in a century
or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed
from time to time, with the blood of patriots and
tyrants. It is its natural manure." -- Thomas Jefferson

Our masters want a one world government. Let's give them a one world - but of citizens, united, proud, with a shared vision of liberty.

When I despair, I remember that all through history
the ways of truth and love have always won. There have
been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem
invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it -always.
-- Mahatma Gandhi

How to spread the word quickly:
  1. Prepare a text to send to top bloggers and alternative media sites around the world, who you know would be sympathetic to our cause. Copy text from this blog, if you like - I don't mind at all.
  2. Visit a few top blogs, and copy their blogrolls. If you then paste those blogrolls into Word, Word will retain the hyperlinks, for you to use.
  3. Most of these top blogs will have a means of contacting them - either an email address or an on-site contact form.
  4. Paste your message text into the contact form, or click the email link and paste your message text.
  5. Vary the message slightly, to suit your audience, if necessary.
If each of us sends just 5 such emails, to top sites, we might be in with a chance.

I sent 120 yesterday and it didn't take long.  What price freedom? Isn't it worth the effort?

I couldn't agree more and as Margaret Meade said "never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world, indeed it's the only thing that ever has"

For those of us who have been following these developments for many years it is plain to see that the world is starting to wake up. Newswipe gets a higher viewing figure than X factor! would that have happened 3 years ago? mindless entertainment is losing it's attraction as people search for truth and where are they searching? on the internet, so lets get to work my friend, is there a poster or image produced we could all put on our blogs to advertise these events?

I have all the organisational skills of an Alheimer's patient, but I can make a right mess if you want one made.

Just call out when you're ready.

Holby and Ranty both have my email which will get my full attention, if not arsenal.

I only stumbled upon Karen's site this morning, UKWS, so I've put nothing together.

But she will have loads of material which can be adapted. She wants it to go global, so she probably won't mind. I'll get in touch and will post here.

Mind you, if any of you have poster-making skills, go for it! We could have a competition and host it on all our sites.

Uncle M, I you're as cogent as they come! I'll keep you apprised!

I've just started to hawk this round the blogosphere and haven't got round to Holby yet. I hope Leg-Iron could lend his inspired prose!

Stan, I hope you're in, too. You post some roasters!

It's a difficult thing to do when it involves loss of money and loss of jobs to many people - they'd be threatened by bosses, for sure. Fine for people like me but I can see many of the [still] employed having problems with it.

Everyone could call in sick that day - yes but if huge numbers do it, the bosses aren't going to buy it.

The angle where we simply refuse to put any money in the coffers during those days - that seems a goer.

I'll post at my own place on it in the next few days. It might work.

You all appear to be asuming that more than 0.000?% of the world population even KNOW what blog sites are. Orif they do, even give a damn.

Those who write blogg sites and write ON blogg sites are the exception not the rule. The rest of the population are just sheep with an I.Q lower than their shoe size. (BRITISH shoe size).

Give them their cheap porn (Eastenders/coronation street/Sun), betting shops/lottery, plentiful supplies of cheap and nasty alcohol, and they will, like the dockside whore, role over and do anything the "Government" tells them, and believe anything the "Government" tells them to believe.

In fact Good old George Orwell went into great detail about it.

A solution to this would be perhaps to make the blogs readable, interesting, and feature scantily-clad ladies and horoscopes.

That's good coming from me - I just posted a blog I wrote last night after six pints of Stella and I could find a decent picture. Hold on, I'll see if I can find one ...

Do you think it will catch on? Does it detract from the blog itself? Who the heck *is* that woman?

Ive been trying that,in fact I believe Ive found my niche in the blogsphere,a bit like Nuts/Loaded/Daily Star, and trawling the net looking at scantily clad lasses is strangely addictive.

I tried the serious in depth study and commentry but unfortunately I discovered I was not as clever as I thought I was!

    @ James

The beauty about this strike is that it happens over 4 days. While some might not be able to take time off work, they could strike on the other issues like:

    * moving monies not needed for monthly bills away from global banks;
    * stocking up beforehand and/or not spending any money in megastores - just the tiddlers, where necessary;

etc. I particularly like the bit where it asks people to bone up on their rights - i.e., what is lawful in OH and Ranty terms. Because then they can't be so easily bullied by the government and won't be so accepting of its 'authority'.

Thanks for re-posting. I think it has a chance, too!

Great stuff, Field Marshall and Holby. Thanks.

    @ FT

The idea is that the word gets out. Many of my friends don't read blog sites either, but they sure hear what's on the ether from me.

If each person who cared for this initiative were to print out 10 copies and put them in doctors' surgeries, or pubs or other meeting places, we'd make a bigger dent.

I'll be along in minute, Uncle M!

I hope the HO isn't tracking you, Stan. :)

I would go a decade, or even two later. I have noticed a change in apprieciation of the suppression mostly in 60 to 70 year olds.

I also find it interesting here, where, for example my Wifes Auntie, lived 10 years during the Weimarer Republik, then under Hitler, later the N.K.V.D, then the Stassi (Origional, not the U.K Stassi lite), and since in what passes for a democcracy. ("May you live in interesting times" has never been truer than in Germany)

She has visited the U.K twice in that time. Once in 1950, and once last year.

She sais she has NEVER felt that the people are so oppressed since she lived under Hitler and the Stassi.

I think she should know. And there are lots of people of that age range, that have similar annecdotes.

I have shown some of these bloggs, yours Fausty, Obo's, C.F's, Julia's, and others to a couple of mates at work that WERE Stassi.

    The result?

"I wish WE had had those powers"!!!

(They HAD them, but even in the DDR, they were operating in a "grey area". "Do it but do not get caught" type of thing. In Britain they are OFFICIAL powers.)

    Uncle Marvo said...

Might be interesting to play guess the age, you know. I think one can tell age and a bit of background by looking at some of these posts. I beat Ranty but am younger than Rosie. But then so are most people :-)

I accidentally clonked on the face of Holby on one of these yesterday. Apart from pissing myself at the "profile", there are some VERY scary similarities between his and mine (which I haven't written yet but will do later). So scary, in fact, that I thought he was impersonating me. And it wouldn't be the first time that's happened, which is even more scary.

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, so I won't be scathing today. Shit. Brown is still in. Yes, I will be.

Yes, you are right. I am a 60 year old 'respectable' lady and I feel like killing people. I would happily blow up the 'powers that be' who have made my once happy life a misery.
I can't smoke or drink or eat the shit I enjoy. I am spied on everywhere I go on foot and driving. The local council forgets that I pay their wages and the same goes for the lying thieving politicians.
There are many 'silver surfers' that feel this way and I am afraid that we have more guts than the 'rebellious' young things that are churned out today.
We marched in the 60's and screamed and shouted and will be happy to do it again (aches and pains may prevent too much marching!!)
Get the oldies back on the streets to protest and the battle is won.
    We just need decent leadership.

    Fausty said...

    Way to go, Anon@ 17:55!

You don't have to march. You can certainly help by getting this information out to everyone you know, posting it on forums, printing it out and leaving it in waiting rooms.

There are so many ways to help.

I share your pain about the state this country is in. Dark days.

Right on! This plan is ingenious. They are fed off of our spending, so we starve them the best we can. We collectively have the power, we have the numbers. We've had enough of the lies, the senseless wars, the fearmongering, the onslaught of civil rights nullifying 'laws'. Enough. People are waking up and are gaining a tremendous understanding the the true reality of our world. Are the elite powers scared? They should be. Their end is near.

In the US, I have generally found the Libertarians, and the wailing general public, too pusillanimous to even consider something as radical as a refusal to pay an income tax. Why, I might go to jail. They might take my car.

And yet, the People are supposed to have a Constitutional Right to pursue a livelihood secured by the clause of Liberty. And the courts have never ruled otherwise. A major appellate court ruling that claims income tax indictments are valid has been analyzed to prove the courts are distorting and manipulating Due Process to impose a tax that does not exist. Ref. http://www.synapticsparks.info/misc/motion.html But no lawyer will confront a judge with the truth. The lawyer might be sanctioned.

People seem to only get out of their Barcalounger when their access to the sports circus is interrupted.

    Fausty said...

    Olde Reb

The idea isn't to stop paying income tax - it's to stop purchasing from corporations. This deprives them of your custom (which you can instead give to your local Mom and Pop shops) and deprives the government of sales tax. All perfectly legal.

What I'm asking for is so doable, I'd be surprised if people don't do it.

I accept that people might find it difficult to take time off work and take their children out of school, but hey - the weather should be good. Why not take a break?

I have thought of this plan in the past, e.g. NO ONE TO VOTE at the next election.
I dream of the impact it would have on our politicians BUT there's a flaw in it.
The only people willing to act on such a great idea are those who think like us and their numbers are limited. Our western system keeps the sleeping masses i.e. the middle class and above relatively comfortable, they see no reason to rebel against a system that feeds them. The poor are also controlled but not through the same means, FEAR is their controlling element. Being on social benefits they fear reprisals from their masters, even when imaginary.
They can't afford computers and their lack of education keeps them isolated from THE TRUTH. Of course not all are sleeping but the number of enlightened people amongst the poor is small.I'd still be willing to strike anyway.
