Technocracy: the real aim of 'global warming'
Technocracy is the glue that binds the developments of globalisation. In short, it is the substituting of money with a new world currency known as carbon credits and will be a tool in the implementation of a world scientific dictatorship.
What does it mean? Subjugation. Total control.

What does it mean? Subjugation. Total control.
Read this, and be afraid. Excerpts:
Carbon Currency is not a new idea, but has deep roots in TechnocracyPat Wood of August Review talks to Dr Sam Monteith about this new world currency:
The new currency, simply called Carbon Currency, is designed to support a revolutionary new economic system based on energy (production, and consumption), instead of price. Our current price-based economic system and its related currencies that have supported capitalism, socialism, fascism and communism, is being herded to the slaughterhouse in order to make way for a new carbon-based world.
- Carbon Currency has grown from a continental proposal to a global proposal
- It has been consistently discussed over a long period of time
- The participants include many prominent global leaders, banks and think-tanks
- The context of these discussions have been very consistent
- Today’s goals for implementing Carbon Currency are virtually identical to Technocracy’s original Energy Certificates goals.
Forces are already at work to position a new Carbon Currency as the ultimate solution to global calls for poverty reduction, population control, environmental control, global warming, energy allocation and blanket distribution of economic wealth.
Unfortunately for individual people living in this new system, it will also require authoritarian and centralized control over all aspects of life, from cradle to grave.
Because the energy supply chain is already dominated by the global elite, setting energy production quotas will limit the amount of Carbon Currency in circulation at any one time. It will also naturally limit manufacturing, food production and people movement.
Sounds very modern in concept, doesn’t it? In fact, these ideas date back to the 1930’s when hundreds of thousands of U.S. citizens were embracing a new political ideology called Technocracy and the promise it held for a better life. Even now-classic literature was heavily influenced by Technocracy: George Orwell’s 1984, H.G. Well’s The Shape of Things to Come and Huxley’s “scientific dictatorship” in Brave New World.
The social movement of Technocracy, with its energy-based accounting system, can be traced back to the 1930’s when an obscure group of engineers and scientists offered it as a solution to the Great Depression.
The principal scientist behind Technocracy was M. King Hubbert, a young geoscientist who would later (in 1948-1956) invent the now-famous Peak Oil Theory, also known as the Hubbert Peak Theory. Hubbert stated that the discovery of new energy reserves and their production would be outstripped by usage, thereby eventually causing economic and social havoc. Many modern followers of Peak Oil Theory believe that the 2007-2009 global recession was exacerbated in part by record oil prices that reflected validity of the theory.

Vaccinegate: doctors threatened for speaking out
Barbara Loe Fisher, Director of the NVIC, speaks of her meeting with British gastroenterologist, Dr Andrew Wakefield in September 1997, before delivering his speech at the First International Public Conference on Vaccination (sponsored by the National Vaccine Information Center). His speech was entitled: “Measles Virus and Measles Vaccine: Lessons to be Learned.”
He had been threatened by senior doctors in positions of authority demanding that he withdraw from the conference.
Five months later, he and 12 other doctors were to publish a study in The Lancet, calling for more research into a possible association between inflammatory bowel disease, MMR vaccine and developmental delays in some children.
Little surprise, then, that Dr Wakefield is again under attack by unscrupulous money-grubbing people who are prepared to put the health of children at risk and ruin the careers of principled doctors - to enrich themselves.
It is not too much of a stretch of the imagination to suppose that the same kind of pressure was put on doctors to keep silent about the swine flu vaccine.
Will the EU investigate this? Will heads roll?

Haiti: child and organ trafficking says PM Bellerive
The Haitian story gets worse.
From CNN (my emphasis):
From CNN (my emphasis):
Trafficking of children and human organs is occurring in the aftermath of the earthquake that devastated parts of Haiti, killed more than 150,000 people, and left many children orphans, Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive said Wednesday.
"There is organ trafficking for children and other persons also, because they need all types of organs," Bellerive said in an exclusive interview with CNN's Christiane Amanpour.
He did not give specifics, but asked by Amanpour if there is trafficking of children, Bellerive said, "The reports I received say yes."
Haiti is trying to locate displaced children and register them so they can either be reunited with other family members or put up for adoption, Bellerive said.
But, he said, illegal child trafficking is "one of the biggest problems that we have."

Climategate and Global Warming: The myth of fear
We are being hoodwinked under the guise of being gently helped to assuage our primal fears about being lost. Global warming is the new Emperor's clothes.
This is about control and indoctrination.
The control part is everywhere. We are indoctrinated from birth to death.
The old graffiti
" Man is born free but everywhere is in chains "
pays homage to that particular message. Its always been about control. Give the populace something to worry about and you can control them because of their fear.
That in itself is nothing new, In 1930s Germany it was the Jews, in Britain it was the blackshirts, in 1930s
In 1940s it was the war and rationing
1950s it was the commies better red than dead or dead than red I forget which and the McCarthyite witch hunts,
in the 1960s it was Cuba and the COLD war
Briefly in the early 1970s there was nothing, and then we got the Oil crisis
in the 1980s it was about breaking the grip of the unions and selling off the family silver, and privatisations and the recession
In 1990s it was about pollution and over population
2000 it is about global warming lack of resources and the oil running out
It is the same bloody theme dressed up in different sodding bloody clothes and designed to hoodwink the sheeple of the world who blindly follow what they see on the TV and what the NLP trained political leaders indoctrinate into peoples minds creating a climate of fear which then makes them subservient to their masters.
It has always been about divide and rule and control
Nothing else. The nomenklatura of the world know this and this is how most people are completely ignorant of the truth.
And when the truth is presented before them they have the eyes of the adults seeing the Emperor with no clothes
It takes the thinking of a child to enter the Kingdom of Heaven
That is why Jesus ( yes Ive read the Bible even though Im Hindu) said it is easier for a rich man to pass through the eye of a needle than to enter the Kingdom of Heaven
And why he said you must think like a child to enter the Kingdom of Heaven
The truth is out there ( according to Mulder and Scully)

US Contractors sent to Haiti to Kill Civilians After Earthquake

This video suggests that US contractors were sent to Haiti to kill civilians. Who pays them to do this? They appear to be above the law.

Please see item 6, below. Make sure your MPs knows how you feel, and do it NOW. Booton writes:
HOUSE OF COMMONS - EARLY DAY MOTION 637, 18TH JANUARY 2010
- The Lisbon Treaty provides for the appointment of a European Public Prosecutor ["EPP"]. Don't confuse it with the European Peoples Party that the Conservative MEP's finally left four years after Cameron said it would take place immediately! Mr Bob Spink, the Member of Parliament [Independent; formerly UKIP and, before that, Conservative] for Castle Point, tabled Early Day Motion ["EDM"] 637 on the 18th January 2009 about the EPP. A copy of that EDM is attached; it is self-explanatory.
- Confirmation that the European Commission is now going ahead with the appointment of the EPP was provided in the European Parliament on the 12th January 2010 during the Committee hearing of the candidate Commissioner for the Taxation and Customs Union, Audit and Anti-Fraud portfolio, Mr Algirdas Semata [Lithuania], in response to a question by Ms Marta Andreasen MEP [UKIP]. See the video of this on http://www.martaandreasen.com/Video.html; Commissioner Questions 3.
- From the point of view of the European Union in further expanding its powers, the appointment of the EPP is one of the essential steps in the general adoption of Corpus Juris throughout the Union. Corpus Juris was first formally debated as long ago as 1997 and it has been "waiting in the wings" ever since. Now that the Lisbon Treaty has been ratified, Corpus Juris will go ahead. Generally, as far as continental countries in the European Union are concerned, the adoption of Corpus Juris would be consonant with their present criminal legal arrangements but for the United Kingdom [and for Ireland and Malta] it would entail a complete bouleversement of our criminal law entailing, inter alia, the abandonment of habeas corpus, of the presumption of innocence and of trial by jury - safeguards of individual freedoms that have been customary for us for centuries but are not followed in any continental country.
- EDM 637 is unlikely to be debated in the House; its objective on this vital legal matter is to alert the Government about the extent and depth of the opinion in the House that, hopefully, will finally be determined by the number of signatures that it attracts from supportive Members; it already has cross-party support. Parliament itself - because of the provisions of the European Treaties - is powerless to prevent the appointment of the EPP, but those provisions do provide our Government with the power either to veto the appointment or to opt-out of the Treaty provisions relating to criminal justice thereby preserving the present basis of the jurisdiction for criminal law in the United Kingdom. It would be expected, in conformity with their Oaths of Allegiance, if for no other reason, that every Member in the House would sign EDM 637. If there were overwhelming support for EDM 637, the Government would be under great pressure to use either its veto or its opt-out
- However, it must be borne in mind that, in practice, the present Government and previous governments have shown little inclination to safeguard Britain's legal systems from encroachment by the European Union. For example, the European Treaties provided that in many respects the European Court of Justice - clearly politically motivated in so many of its judgments - should be our final Court of Appeal. Another pertinent example indicating the present Government's approach to the adoption of European legal arrangements relates to the maintenance of "law and order". On the 18th October 2007, five countries in the European Union [Spain, France, Italy, The Netherlands, and Portugal] established a European Gendarmerie Force ["EGF"] by means of the Velsen Treaty pursuant to a Declaration of Intent dated the 17th September 2004 - see the EGF official website www.eurogendfor.eu. The EGF is an armed paramilitary anti-riot force under central control and is primarily intended to support the police and civilian authorities in the individual countries in the European Union [and, in practice, elsewhere in the world] in which the EGF can be stationed and deployed with the agreement of the country concerned. However, when asked in the House last year for an assurance that the EGF would never be allowed to set foot in Britain, the Government refused to give it.
- That is a summary of the present position on the appointment of the EPP. What can we do? The answer is that, as a matter of urgency, as many people as possible in each Constituency should get in touch with its Member of Parliament [personally, or by email or post] and ask him/her to confirm that he/she will sign EDM 637 immediately - and, if not, why not. Also, as many letters as possible should be addressed to local newspapers and the matter of the EPP should be brought to the attention of local broadcasters and television stations. By all means, letters should be sent to national papers and broadcasters but, in the past, it has proved to be difficult to interest them in complicated European Union matters - however vital to Britain's interests - and that applies particularly to the BBC.
Afghanistan: The never-ending war
Daniel Ellsberg, dubbed by Kissinger as "the most dangerous man alive", was the top Policy Analyst to the Defence Department during the Vietnam war.
He saw that the 'facts' the Pentagon were putting out via the media, were far from the truth and that the war was more akin to mass murder. These facts were confirmed by top secret documents which he leaked to the press - The Pentagon Papers.
The same, he says in his interview with The Real News, is happening in Afghanistan today, assisted by "embedded", tame media. Among the 'facts' he believes are misleading, are US troop numbers in Afghanistan, which Ellsberg estimates to be around half a million - contrary to what Obama claims.
Daniel Ellsberg produced the award-winning documentary "The Most Dangerous Man in America" - trailer below:
Cui bono? Congressman Ron Paul believes that the CIA are running a drug operation, the proceeds of which finance all its other operations. The CIA is not funded by taxpayer dollars so in effect, is not answerable to Congress. As such, Ron Paul believes this is a rogue institution which is way out of control and needs to be stopped.
The Afghan exit strategy, training Afghan troops to take over US/UK military operations, looks doomed to fail. Brown and Obama don't know this?

Lord Lester pointed out a potential collision ... with the Human Rights act. From Hansard:
Lord Lester of Herne Hill: This is not a very satisfactory way of proceeding because we are dealing with the issue in bits and pieces. However, under the European human rights convention and the Human Rights Act, is it not the case that if one were to act disproportionately and coerce someone against their conscience, that would violate their right to freedom of conscience, so in the end there would be a question of proportionality on the facts? It is not a question of black or white; under the Human Rights Act and the European convention the law sensibly allows a fair balance to be struck and maintained.

Advertising for "reliable" workers discriminates against the unreliable
Another day, another ridiculous rule which induces one to suspend belief. As the Mail reports:
But no. This is now Job Centre policy.
" ... recruitment agency boss Nicole Mamo was especially careful to ensure her advert for hospital workers did not offend on grounds of race, age or sexual orientation.Apparently, the Job Centre fears being sued. You'd think that if their practices were ethical, this wouldn't be a consideration.
However, she hadn't reckoned on discriminating against a wholly different section of the community - the completely useless.
When she ran the ad past a jobcentre, she was told she couldn't ask for 'reliable' and 'hard-working' applicants because it could be offensive to unreliable people.
'In my 15 years in recruitment I haven't heard anything so ridiculous,' Mrs Mamo said yesterday.
'If the matter wasn't so serious I would be laughing out loud.
But no. This is now Job Centre policy.
'Even the woman at the jobcentre agreed it was ridiculous but explained it was policy because they could get sued for being dicriminatory against unreliable people. These idiots should be the first to be culled from public 'services'; they are a blight on services, a blight on our culture and they will kill off what little sense of competition we have left as a nation.

Good reads: Dr David Kelly
Hat tip to Flying Warpigs for the pic.
Incredibly, ConHome doesn't cover the Dr Kelly story today.
Why?
Why have the Conservatives been silent on this issue?
Surely, a Cameron government can overturn Hutton's order to keep the Dr Kelly's medical records secret for 70 years?
The public would be behind such a move, so why don't the Tories say so now?
The circumstances are surely suspicious, as Norman Baker stated in 2007 and if the Ministry of 'Justice' is to be trusted, then it is imperative that Dr Kelly's medical records and post-mortem results be made available for scrutiny.

The Muppet Show or how the Iraq inquiry has descended into farce
To call the Chilcot inquiry into the Iraq War “a farce” would be, perhaps, to endow it with a gravitas it does not deserve. With the latest intervention of Gordon Brown, it has descended even lower. It has become the Muppet Show.
The first act of muppetry was for Gordon Brown to call the inquiry in the first place. Why do this? The road to Iraq was already well-travelled ground. The Hutton inquiry into the death of Dr David Kelly. The Butler review into the intelligence relating to Iraq’s supposed weapons of mass destruction. Two parliamentary inquiries. Tony Blair’s memoirs. Alastair Campbell’s memoirs. Robin Cook’s memoirs. Sir Christopher Meyer’s memoirs. Piers Morgan’s memoirs. More memoirs than memory can bring to mind. What more, of substance, is there left to learn?
“What do you think?” says Waldorf. “Beats sitting around watching television,” says Statler.

Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela, has accused the US of "playing God" by inducing the earthquake in Haiti as a means of taking over the country by stealth - probably via the CIA and HAARP.
He said that the Haiti affair was only a drill for the real event, which is the taking over of Iran. Both countries have vast oil reserves.

Black EDL supporter says EDL anti-Sharia, not racist
International Civil Liberties Alliance publishes a speech by an unknown black man at the EDL Stoke Demonstration - refuting accusations that EDL is a racist orgnisation:
As a Black man I stand here to say that the English Defence League is not a racist organisation.Your move, BBC.
I have known many of these people for years and have participated in previous demonstrations. Racism is simply not part of their policy or reflected by their membership.
My presence here gives the lie to the accusation by many media outlets and anti-racist organisations that the EDL is a front for racist organisations in this country. I would not be here if it was.
The EDL is supportive of my interests in promoting harmony between races and people of colour. I see the EDL as defending my interests as a black man to live in a society where skin colour does not play a part in how society functions. As Martin Luther King jr. said many years ago in his famous ‘I have a Dream’ speech: ‘one day [our children will] live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
The EDL’s stand against Sharia law and radical Islam is a stand against a supremacist ideology masquerading as a religion which says that Muslims are better than non-Muslims and that Muslim men are the best of the lot.
This distinction based on what a person believes is no less evil than a distinction based on colour.
My conscience, that is what I choose to believe, is as much a part of me as the colour of my skin. If I choose not to embrace Islam I am no less a man because of it. And from what I understand of Islam I would say I am much better off if I do NOT submit to Allah!
But an Islamic society would mistreat me, as a non-Muslim, in the same way as a white racist society would treat a black slave.
‘Kaffir’ is the Islamic word for non-Muslim; and it is simply the Islamic version of the word ‘nigger.’
Black men and women have come too far and suffered too much to replace one form of slavery with another. We will not be mistreated nor do we wish to mistreat others.
I will not put up with it and neither should this nation!
I say: No to racism, no to sharia!

What Has Europe Done For Us?
EU President will cost taxpayers over £20m a year. The EU's new full-time President Herman Van Rompuy is due to cost taxpayers nearly £300 million. The total annual cost to EU taxpayers for Mr. Van Rompuy will be £22.5 million, including £2.1 million for security, £2.3 million for equipment, £6.2 million for summits and £5.2 million for 22 staff. In addition, the EU is spending another £252 million building a new facility to house the President's office. His salary is £273,814 a year - meaning he will earn more than US President Barack Obama, who earns £250,000.
Taxpayers pay for skiing holidays for children of MEPs earning £108,000. Taxpayers are to heavily subsidise a February skiing holiday in the Italian Alps for the children of MEPs and European Parliament officials. The holiday costs €920 and is subsidised by the Parliament's budget. Households receive different levels of subsidy depending on their monthly income, but even those on an income of over £108,000 get a discount. An MEP earning £86,000 is eligible for a subsidy of 45 percent.
50% of nurses warn EU's working time rules put patients in danger. A survey of nurses carried out by the Nursing Times has showed that 50% of nurses said patients were being put in danger due to the Working Time Directive's restrictions on junior doctors' hours, compared with 39 percent who said they were not. 71 percent said that additional work had left them with less time to carry out basic nursing duties, while 70 percent said it had led to gaps in medical cover.
Defra study says CAP costs UK consumers £3.2bn. A new 20-year food strategy report from the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has found that consumers paid an extra £3.2bn, or £52 each, for food in 2007, because of the EU's Common Agricultural Policy. The Government has said one of its food strategy aims is to reform the CAP.
EU taxpayers fund "slapstick acting workshops". As part of an £800 million EU programme to help people aged 13-30 'feel European', taxpayers are helping to fund basket-weaving and slapstick acting workshops for young people across Europe. The UK Government provides ten percent of the EU's budget, meaning it is likely that around £80 million of the cash used to run the 'Youth In Action' programme will have come from British taxpayers. One project in Finland received thousands to support a coffee house which offered 'everyone the chance to have a sleep for free', aiming to encourage afternoon naps to reduce stress.
Former Le Monde Editor: Lisbon Treaty has made EU more complex rather than more simple. In an article for Spanish newspaper El PaÃs, Jean-Marie Colombani, former Editor of Le Monde, criticised the Lisbon Treaty for making the EU more complex, writing: "Put ourselves in the place of European citizens, who were sold the idea that the Lisbon Treaty would simplify things... Now we realise that Europe will be run by a complex mechanism with at least four axes: the president and the European foreign minister; the country holding the rotating presidency; the president of the Commission and his team and finally the national heads of state and government."
The Spanish Deputy Prime Minister MarÃa Fernández, whose country holds the rotating EU Presidency, has also said that "The Lisbon Treaty has made the EU decision making process more complex".

Undemocratic democracy
We vote on a variety of issues, all lumped together under one rump - the Party. Most of us probably disagree with 60% of the Party issues, but because there's a two-party system and FPTP, we have virtually no choice but to vote for a Party, if we are to oust the incumbents.
Take, for example, Cameron's latest issue - the Tories' tax on drivers, which they say is to pay for the marriage allowance.
Is this tax equitable? Do you want it?
Regardless, should the Tories come to power, whether or not you want this tax, the Tories will claim to have a MANDATE to encode it.
The Swiss democratic model should be investigated, because our democratic model is flawed. In particular, we need referenda to become part of the system - referenda on every issue that affects people.
We need to vote out Lib/Lab/Con by voting for smaller parties and independents. If we ALL vote that way, we can get rid of the lot of them.
Think about it. Spread the idea about. Discuss it.
DO something.
Update: EU Referendum agrees

Geert Wilders' opening speech at hate speech trial
In 1633, Galileo was arrested, jailed, interrogated, prosecuted and convicted by a jury of ten Roman Catholic Cardinals and ordered into prison by the Pope. His crime was to write a 500-page book, presenting scientific evidence that the Earth was not at the center of the Universe.
On trial was the freedom to speak the truth.
Geert Wilders is the leader of the PVV (Party for Freedom) in the Netherlands. Yesterday, he went on trial in Amsterdam, charged with insulting Muslims, discrimination against Muslims, and incitement to hatred.
Transcript:
Judge: Mr Wilders, do you have something on paper that can, or may be given to the registrar later on?
Wilders: When I get it back.
Judge; Then we will make a copy of it and hand the original back to you.
Wilders: Mr President, members of the court, I would like to only use a few minutes of my right to speak. And I would like to begin by saying that of all our attainments, freedom is the most precious and most vulnerable.
It is what people have dedicated their lives to and what people have given their lives for.
Our freedom in this country is the fruit of centuries. It is the result of a history that has no equal and has brought us to where we are today.
I believe with all my heart and soul that the freedom is threatened in the Netherlands. That heritage, which generations could only dream of, is precisely this freedom which is no longer a given fact, no longer a matter of self-evidence.
I dedicate my life to defending our freedom. I know what the risks are and I every day again, pay the price for that.
I do not complain about it; it is my own decision. I see it as my duty and therefore I am standing here today.
I know that the words I use are sometimes tough, but they are never reckless. It is not my intention to spare the ideology of conquest and destruction, but neither do I intend to offend people.
I have nothing gainst Muslims. I have a problem with the Islam and the Islamization of our country because Islam is at right angles to freedom.
Future generations will wonder how we, in 2010, at this location, in this room, served our most preciouis asset. Whether the freedom is for both sides in this debate and thus also for Islam critics, or whether in the Netherlands, only one side of the debate may be heard. Whether freedom of speech in the Netherands applies to everyone, or only to some.
The answer to that is immediately also the answer to the question whether freedom still has a home in this country.
Freedom has never been owned by a small group, but has always been the heritage of us all. We have all been blessed by it.
Lady Justice wears a blindfold, but she can hear perfectly well, she can listen perfectly well. And I hope she, Lady Justice, will hear the following phrases sound, loud and clear:
It is not only the right, but also the duty of free people to speak out against any ideology that threatens freedom.
Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States, was right:
"The price for freedom is eternal vigilance.".
I hope with all I have in me that freedom of expression in this trial will prevail. Not only that I will be acquitted, but that the freedom of speech will continue to exist.
Finally, Mr Chairman, members of the court: This trial is of course about the freedom of expression. But this trial is certainly also about finding the truth.
The statements I have made, the comparisons I have drawn - are they true?
As mentioned in the summons. Because, if something is true, how can it be illegal [to express it]? Therefore I ask you strongly not only to grant my request for the hearing of witnesses and experts in the field of freedom of speech, but I also ask you explicitly to honour my requests for the hearing of witnesses and experts in the field of Islam, all in full publicity.
I hereby am not only referring to the gentleman Jansen and Admiraal, but also to the expert witnesses from Israel, the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries. Preferably, all.
I must have the ability to defend myself. I must prove to you that I have spoken the truth. Please do not obstruct me from that. Because without these witnesses, i cannot defend myself well and in my view, it will be out of the question that this is a fair trial.
Thank you.
Judge: We will withdraw for a while to consider the proceedings, unless one of us wants to say something.

UKIP's Godfrey bloom talks to Alex Jones about global government, the EU's corpus juris, common law, global warming, QUANGOs, Common Purpose, bankers, swine flu and Gordon Brown - amongst other things.
Bloom described Gordon Brown as "a dysfunctional individual", to which Jones added "there's something wrong with that man", "he's some kind of freak"!
Alex says of UKIP, "these guys have really got it right". Well, there's an endorsement!

Witch hunt: Geert Wilders in court today for hate crime
Geert Wilders, one of Holland's most popular politicians, goes on trial this morning in Amsterdam for calling the Koran a "fascist book" and Islam a "backward culture". He faces charges of discriminating against a group and inciting people to hatred.
The charges arose from his video Fitna, released in March 2008. He was invited by UKIP's Lord Pearson to show his video to the Lords, but was prevented from entering Britain by the then Home Secretary, Jackboot Smith.
Wilders calls the trial a political "witch hunt".
The International Free Press Society (IFPS) provide background to the trial, here.

Ron Paul: CIA is in the drug business & starts wars
From Daily Paul:
Update: Jesse Ventura's recollections of his dealings with the shady CIA:
Excerpt from the Campaign for Liberty Regional Conference in Atlanta, GA. As the crowd begins to cheer, Ron Paul states, "We need to take out the CIA!"
There's been a coup - have you heard? It's the CIA coup. The CIA runs everything! They run the military .. and they're every bit as secretive as the Federal Reserve. And yet, think of the harm they have done since they were established at the end of World War II. They are a government unto themselves. They're in businesses, in drug businesses, they take out dictators... We need to take out the CIA!

Video uploads to internet need government authorisation
The Industry Standard reports that Italy has decreed that before people can upload videos to the Internet, they need authorisation from the government - thanks to an EU directive.
It comes hot on the heels of the threat to Internet privacy, and is almost certainly part of the international ACTA treaty, which will end usage of the Internet as we know it.
Opposition Democratic Party member, Paolo Gentiloni slammed the ruling at a press conference:
Articolo 21, a freedom of speech organisation sees this as yet another attempt to "crack down on bloggers by imposing on them the same obligations and responsibilities as newspapers".
Update: Internet 2 will make policies such as this possible.
Therefore, it's coming here soon, unless we fight it.

Information Czar wants to ban conspiracy theorising
Cass Sunstein*, Obama's Information Czar, wants Obama to clamp down on conspiracy theorists. He contends that conspiracy theorists are a threat to government.
They certainly are - to governments involved in conspiracies. How are we to uncover conspiracies, if we cannot first theorise about them?
On page 14 of Sunstein's astonishing white paper, Conspiracy Theories (pdf), he suggests 5 steps that government can take against theorists, two of which are:
Dr Stan Monteith discusses the implications of these proposals with William Grigg:
* Sunstein heads the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, in Obama's Executive Office. Glenn Beck referred to him as "the most dangerous czar out there".
Update: In his Definition Notes, on page 5, Sunstein names some conspiracy theories which he said turned out to be true. Some of these might startle you:

"that the theory of global warming is a deliberate fraud"Hmmm... I wonder if theorists will be extraditable.

Update: In his Definition Notes, on page 5, Sunstein names some conspiracy theories which he said turned out to be true. Some of these might startle you:
Of course some conspiracy theories, under our definition, have turned out to be true. The Watergate hotel room used by Democratic National Committee was, in fact, bugged by Republican officials, operating at the behest of the White House. In the 1950s, the Central Intelligence Agency did, in fact, administer LSD and related drugs under Project MKULTRA, in an effort to investigate the possibility of “mind control.” Operation Northwoods, a rumored plan by the Department of Defense to simulate acts of terrorism and to blame them on Cuba, really was proposed by high-level officials (though the plan never went into effect).
Swine flu: 1000s died even after being vaccinated
Natural News surmises that thousands of Americans died of swine flu anyway, even though they'd probably been vaccinated against it:
The CDC statistics lie by omission. They do not reveal the single most important piece of information about H1N1 vaccines: How many of the people who died from the swine flu had already been vaccinated.A snippet:
The CDC is intentionally not tracking how many of the dead were previously vaccinated. They want you (and mainstream media journalists) to mistakenly believe that ZERO deaths occurred in those who were vaccinated. But this is blatantly false. Being vaccinated against H1N1 swine flu offers absolutely no reduction in mortality from swine flu infections.Thank you, Andy Burnham, for wasting our money and putting our health at risk - probably, for nothing.
And that means roughly 20% of the 11,160 Americans who died from the swine flu were probably already vaccinated against swine flu. That comes to around 2,200 deaths in people who were vaccinated!
How do I know that swine flu vaccines don't reduce infection mortality? Because I've looked through all the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trials that have ever been conducted on H1N1 vaccines. It didn't take me very long, because the number of such clinical trials is ZERO.
That's right: There is not a single shred of evidence in existence today that scientifically supports the myth that H1N1 vaccines reduce mortality from H1N1 infections. The best evidence I can find on vaccines that target seasonal fluindicates a maximum mortality reduction effect of somewhere around 1% of those who are vaccinated. The other 99% have the same mortality rate as people who were not vaccinated.

Credit and debit card loan-sharking
Tricks employed by credit card companies to ensnare the poorest and milk them indefinitely for interest on loans they couldn't pay off.
This, in effect, meant that the poorest paid a higher premium for loans than the rich.
Most people think that loan-sharking is connected only with credit cards. That's not so. All current accounts have an overdraft facility - agreed or not. As soon as the customer goes into overdraft, the loan-sharking kicks in. That's what the overdraft fees are all about.

The Boys In Blue
Peelian principle No. 7: "...the police are the public and the public are the police..."
Po-faced Puritan, Superintendent Andrew Murray, Oxford City commander with Thames Valley Police, said: 'I have spoken to the officers concerned and reminded them in no uncertain terms that tobogganing on duty, on police equipment and at taxpayers' expense is a very bad idea should they wish to progress under my command.'
Wouldn't it be great to see all riot shields dusted off and deployed like this, rather than as offensive weapons at a protest march?
Story & more pics here
Contrast that article with this one where two children were stopped & searched by PCSOs on the grounds of 'sledging downhill'. Their details will be kept on the police database. These f/nuts would probably be promoted if they were under Andrew Murray's command.

Conspiracy theories: John F Kennedy's view
Were it not for conspiracy theories, organised fraudulent activities would never be discovered.
Yet so often today, the mere mention of anything which is not "conventional wisdom", spouted by the 'mainstream' media, governments, 'authorities', etc., acquires the label "conspiracy theory", in the most derogatory sense. This terminates enquiry and investigation - just as it is intended to do, by the powerful, who might be harmed by a goodly dose of sunlight into their undertakings.
So what is a conspiracy?
Some dictionary definitions:

Some dictionary definitions:
AskOxford: "noun a belief that some covert but influential organization is responsible for an unexplained event"A very famous person indeed - one who is thought to have the victim of a conspiracy theory himself, had this to say:

Judge Napolitano on Alex Jones: Geithner & AIG
Things are getting hot for Geithner and AIG, which was summed up by Judge Napolitano on the Alex Jones show, thus:
A writ has been issued commanding AIG to testify on the bailout. In arranging this writ, Congress aims to find out what Geithner knew about the AIG bailout - and when he knew it.
Judge Napolitano has read emails that were released by Congressman Darrell Issa, who obtained them under FOIA. These emails were between the lawyers for AIG, the lawyers for the Treasury Department and the lawyers for the intermediary bank, Morgan Chase (through which the fed channelled money).
These emails were about the instructions from the government to AIG - which was about to receive $185 billion (some of it from the government and some from the Fed. The government instructed AIG not to list truthfully the identity of all its creditors - in particular, Goldman Sachs - a hundred cents on the dollar.
In other words, AIG's creditors, such as Goldman Sachs, were to be reimbursed for the entire sum that they gambled and lost, rather than what their 'investment' was actually worth on the open market.
Henry Paulson, the Treasury Secretary at the time of the bailout, was a recently-retired Chair of Goldman Sachs, and AIG owed Goldman Sachs $13 billion - which it paid in full, with taxpayers' money.
So, what did Geithner know and when did he know it?
Geithner was the president and CEO of the New York Federal Reserve at the time his in-house lawyers were telling AIG to hide the existence of the debt to Goldman Sachs from the SEC (the regulators).
To illustrate the pickle that Geithner is in, Judge Napolitano's provides an analogy:
The Judge believes that mainstream politics is in dire trouble and that a third party will emerge. He also believes that Obama's democrats could lose control of the Senate this year, so the next 10 months will be a "mad dash to see how much unconstitutional regulation" they can ram through before the game is up.
The Judge reckons "litigation is making its way through the courts" Fox will grant to Bloomberg News and to Fox News (under FOIA), TARP documents which the Fed has been aggressively fighting to keep secret. He says this documentation will be a "treasure trove".
This could spell the end of the Fed, but unfortunately it is unlikely to happen before the 2010 elections.
The Judge predicts a revolution where the Republicans and Democrats come together to kick out all the incumbents, no matter which party they belong to.
Related:
"We have the apparent makings of a grand conspiracy in which government officials counselled the recipients of government largesse to lie about the nature and extent of the largesse and what was going to be done with it."

"You buy a $100 savings bond and give the wrong zip code - no problem. But if you intentionally give the wrong address, you've falsified a Federal document and you can be prosecuted. The SEC says that the information on bailout recipients will be confidential for a further 6 years - until 2016, even though the SEC broke the government's own law on the instructions of the government!
"Can you imagine what the law would say about falsifying a document for an $185 billion bailout of taxpayer dollars?
That is what is confronting Tim Geithner."

Russian Lebedev wants second UK newspaper - the Independent
Russian Alexander Lebedev already owns London's Standard newspaper and now hopes to purchase the Independent.
Why should that be of concern to us? Hasn't Russia embarked on a journey to democracy, via Perestroika? Isn't Russia now a quasi-capitalist nation? Doesn't Lebedev's residence in the UK indicate that he prefers a democratic, capitalist system?
Is the UK democratic? Or has it, under Labour's marxists, embarked on a Marxist/Leninist journey?
Anatoly Golitsyn*, a Soviet KGB defector, wrote New Lies for Old and The Perestroika Deception. In his Author's Note on the latter, Golitsyn says (my emphasis):
KGB documents published by Golitsyn, show that "perestroika" and "glasnost" were intended to serve as a media ploy to deceive the West into lowering its defenses to the point where Soviet goals could proceed unchallenged. Of Golitsyn's 194 predictions in New Lies for Old, 139 had been fulfilled as of 1993. That's a 94% success rate.
The "perestroika deception" was to engineer a "peaceful transition to socialism" in the world via a manufactured economic crisis. Soviet documents from the '70s outline this dimension in some detail. In 1974, Alexander Sobolev of the Moscow Institute of Marxism-Leninism developed the means by which a "peaceful revolutionary process" could take place. To do this, Sobolev stressed the need for a "nationwide political crisis" to be followed by "effective measures to neutralize wavering social strata." Lenin himself that said, "A revolution is simply impossible without an overall national crisis."
In his book, Perestroika: New Thinking for Our Country and the World, Gorbachev said outright, "Perestroika is closely connected with socialism as a system.". In response to the question "Are we giving up socialism?", Gorbachev replied, "Every part of our program of perestroika...is fully based on the principles of more socialism....". Gorbachev called perestroika a "continuation of the October Revolution".
In The Perestroika Deception, Golitsyn talks of the Chinese-Russian relationship and the West's failure to understand it and tried to warn the CIA:
* Golitsyn was dubbed by former CIA counter-intelligence director James Angleton as being "The most valuable defector ever to reach the West"

Anatoly Golitsyn*, a Soviet KGB defector, wrote New Lies for Old and The Perestroika Deception. In his Author's Note on the latter, Golitsyn says (my emphasis):
This book is the product of nearly twenty years of my life. It presents my convictions that, throughout that period, the West has misunderstood the nature of changes in the communist world and has been misled and out maneuvered by communist guile. My researches have not only strengthened by belief, but have led me to a new methodology by which to analyze communist actions. This methodology takes into account the dialectical character of communist strategic thinking. It is my hope theat the methodology will come to be used by students of communist affairs throughout the Western World.Golitsyn believes that, far from being dead, Russian communism is alive and well and spreading throughout the world, fostered by deceptive 'liberalism'. He made a number of predictions in The Phony Collapse of the Soviet Union (1984), as this posting highlights.

In The Perestroika Deception, Golitsyn talks of the Chinese-Russian relationship and the West's failure to understand it and tried to warn the CIA:
- In 1989, Golitsyn wrote to the CIA: "...China is destined to become a Soviet partner in the future World Government towards which Moscow and Peking are jointly preceding." (page 36).
- In another memorandum to the CIA in February 1993, Golitsyn wrote of a "mask of diplomatic and political cooperation" by Russia: "When the right moment comes the mask will be dropped and the Russians with Chinese help will seek to impose their system on the West on their own terms as the culmination of a 'Second October Socialist Revolution.' (page 158).
* Golitsyn was dubbed by former CIA counter-intelligence director James Angleton as being "The most valuable defector ever to reach the West"
According to Wikipedia:
Golitsyn worked in the strategic planning department of the KGB in the rank of Major. In 1961 under the name "Ivan Klimov" he was assigned to the Soviet embassy in Helsinki, Finland as vice counsel and attache. He defected with his wife and daughter to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) via Helsinki on December 15, 1961 taking a train to Haaparanta in the Finnish-Swedish border town where he was flown to the United States via Stockholm and was interviewed by James Jesus Angleton, CIA counter-intelligence director. In January 1962, the KGB sent instructions to fifty-four Rezidentura throughout the world on the actions required to minimize the damage. All meetings with important agents were to be suspended. In November 1962, KGB head Vladimir Semichastny approved a plan for assassination of Golitsyn and other "particularly dangerous traitors" including Igor Gouzenko, Nikolay Khokhlov, and Bogdan Stashinsky. KGB made significant efforts to discredit Golitsyn by promoting disinformation that he was involved in illegal smuggling operations.
Golitsyn provided information about many famous Soviet agents including Kim Philby, Donald Duart Maclean, Guy Burgess, John Vassall, double agent Aleksandr Kopatzky who worked in Germany, and others. It was only with the defection of Anatoliy Golitsyn in 1961 that Philby was confirmed as a Soviet mole.
