Christopher Story died: an end of an era

"Christopher Story died peacefully at home on 14th July 2010 after a short illness."

Christopher Story was a major thorn in the side of the globalists. Forgive me for being cynical, but I would like to know what he died of.

RIP, Christopher.

Fabianism in America: the US has the UK disease

Janet Daley writes a thought-provoking article, but I fear she fails to see the wood for the trees.

She's largely right, but I would add:
We can probably thank the Marxist/Fabian Cass Sunstein for labelling the Tea Partiers as "racist". He knows they're not, but he and his ilk will do everything in their power to stamp out dissent - freedom of speech to you and I.

Fabianism is growing in the US. THAT is what the people have to root out and destroy if they are to retain their freedoms.

Their plight is not helped by a compliant media and libel tourism, assisted by the UK.

The rot goes deep. Leftie sleepers in every social stratum assist the rot. That is, after all, what "community organisers" are trained to engender, as per Saul Alinsky's manual, of which Clinton and Obama are fans.

Is it any surprise, given the US's trajectory, that the UK, in the person of iDave, also seeks to inject "community organisers" into UK 'society'?

That the same thing is happening in the US as in the UK is no coincidence. They attend the same meetings (Bilderberg, UN, G20) and have the same globalist agendas, as a result of that.

EU gives GM foods the go-ahead

The EU will allow member states to decide whether or not to grow GM food, but reserves the right to determine whether those foods are safe. On past performance, bribes and campaign contributions will insure that this approval will be forthcoming. Once done, it will be impossible for member states to refuse to allow GM crops because, if the EU says they are safe, there will be no grounds for banning them.

Caroline Spelman will be pleased.

Meanwhile, India bans further harvesting of GM crops until they are proved to be safe in the long term.  (GM companies like Monsanto may still try to fudge tests and bribe government officials to show long-term safety, but this is a huge victory made possible by massive public opposition to GM crops.)

Petition to leave the EU: 100,000 signatures needed to trigger HoC debate

Have Your Say launched a petition due to the announcement in the Election 2010 Coalition Government manifesto under Political Reform that under new legislation they will ensure that any petition that secures 100,000 signatures will be eligible for formal debate in Parliament and that the petition with the most signatures will enable members of the public to table a bill eligible to be voted on in Parliament.

This has created a unique opportunity to embarrass and hold the government to account.

No-one in Britain under the age of 53 has ever had a chance to give their opinion on our country's position within the European Union (EU).

Some people believe that we should leave the EU altogether, and that we should negotiate trading and other agreements with Europe as we would with any other country or continent. Others believe that our best interests would be served by fully committing to the EU, which would mean greater surrender of sovereignty to Brussels, and eventual adoption of the single currency - the Euro.

Currently, we have one foot in the EU, and one foot outside it. This is detrimental to our interests, and to the interests of the EU, both politically and economically, and we need to take a decision as to where our future as a nation lies. This decision must be taken by the people, and our politicians must abide by it. When that decision is made, then we will look to our politicians to show strong and decisive leadership, and to take our country on the course we choose.

Sign the petition now!

John Clark's spin on the BP oil crisis

Americans will need all the humour they can get, given that the air they breathe is being poisoned by the highly toxic dispersant/benzine mix, thanks to BP, which is likely to kill thousands over the coming months and years, as it enters the water system and is distributed far and wide by air currents.

The Great Repeal Bill: You choose which laws to scrap

Finally, we get to bin the ghastly, unjust laws which Labour introduced, which criminalised even mundane acts such as overfilling a wheelie bin.

Astonishingly, Labour introduced approximately 33 new criminal offenses per day, and churned out over 50 criminal justice bills in its 13 years in office - more than twice the number produced by the previous administration.

Nick Clegg has launched a web site which will enable the public to nominate laws for scrapping. Civil servants will be able to comment on our nominations and will no doubt try to shoot many of them down - but the whole thing will be conducted openly, so that we can mount an infowar, should that be necessary to bury the mountain of lousy laws we've been saddled with.

At the top of my repeal list will be the Civil Contingencies Act which, bizarrely, does not seem to be included in the above House of Commons document! Perhaps that's because it does not fall under the remit of the Home Office.

One would hope that Nick Clegg will produce a document listing ALL laws passed since 1997.

PS: Update on my data recovery saga:

Thanks again to Goodnight Vienna for holding the fort while I attempted to resurrect my data from the dead.  The process finished late last night - taking four full days from beginning to end. Amazingly, the data recovery software I used appears to have retrieved every last scrap of data, apart from some precious photos.  I will be running the software again, specifically directing it to find photos. Fingers crossed!

Apart from that, all I have to do now is to re-categorise the data; while the software managed to retrieve the filenames of files, it lost directory structures or folder hierarchies. Lots of work to do, but at least, I have my data back!
