Cameron's "Big Society = the EU's "Citizen Initiative"?
Am I missing something here? Did the HoC meet on a SATURDAY to discuss the EU's "Citizen's Initiative"? In particular, EU document 8399/10?
And does Cameron's "Big Society" equate to a British version of the EU's Citizen Initiative?
If so on the second question, isn't it becoming crystal clear that the 'main' parties' policies are derived, in some way, from the EU? And if so, what is the point of voting?

As I said, GV:

Cameron presents the volunteering idea as a brainwave by him when this has been on the cards for yonks! And we all know that he has to do what his masters in Brussels tell him!
Fausty, what can I say! Fancy getting my young ladies mixed up! Goes deep red with embarrassment............
I hate to scare you but for years now your (and my) nationality has been "European Union".
Anyone who gets involved in this Big Society nonsense is a total mug.
Mr R, I'm a GV fan, so don't mind at all!
Cameron's PR accomplishments might be the end of him - politically, at least!
I have noticed, Joe. But for some reason, the parties still seem keen on disguising the origins of the policies. Can't think why.
I believe it can have benefits, Michael, but can't abide Cameron's incarnation.
Why don't they just bugger off with their red tape and taxes and let us get on with the business of earning a living!
